A Relaxing Highland Break for up to 20 People
Looking for a large house to host a family gathering of friend reunion? Then Dalmigavie House near Tomatin could be your perfect solution. Set amongst 6,000 acres of Highland woodlands and mountains, this house sleeps up to 20 people and offers plenty of things to do nearby.
The house has everything a large group needs to make a wonderful and fun break in the Highlands. Inside there is wifi, a well-equipped kitchen, a sitting room and library. There are 2 open fires in the house, as well as a big wood-burning stove in the hall to make sure the whole house gets nice and warm when you need it. Sleeping arrangements are 4 big doubles, 3 twins and a pair of bunks in the main house with 2 twins in the attached Annex. Dogs are welcome here, and a cot and high chair can be available, making sure no member of the family has to miss out on this wonderful holiday home.
Outside, you have your own tennis court! There are also large lawns with croquet. A barbecue is available for outdoor cooking. Fishing in the local River Findhorn can be arranged.
Nearby Attractions
The small village of Tomatin is just 10 minutes away, and you can pick up vital supplies here. You can pick up a wee bit more than that as it is also home to the Tomatin Distillery! Enjoy a tour and sample some of the produce on your stay – and take some back for everyone to enjoy at Dalmigavie House later.
The house offers an escape from busy life into a serene and quiet Highland landscape. However there are still plenty of things to do nearby. Inverness is only a 40 minute drive away, and the sights of Loch Ness isn’t far away either.
So if you are looking for a big house to spend time with family and friends that offers a location far from the maddening crowd (but close enough to reconnect with civilisation if you want!) then Dalmigavie House may be the perfect break for you.
