The Lecht is an alpine ski centre set around the mountains Beinn a’ Chruinnich and Meikle Corr Riabhach in the Eastern Cairngorms. About 53 miles from Inverness and 54 miles from Aberdeen. This is the smallest ski centre in Scotland, but there is still plenty to enjoy here for all levels and abilities. It has 15 lifts and 23 pistes, graded from green (easy) to black (very difficult). The centre offers year-round activities. From skiing and snowboarding in winter to mountain biking in the summer.
The Day Lodge is the centre’s main building, where you’ll find the ticket office, equipment rental, ski shop and snowsports school. There is a self-service restaurant on the ground floor, and a cafe bar upstairs with a great viewing area. Lift passes are available from the ticket office, or you can book online in advance. Afternoon passes are only available after 12.30 pm until the lift closes.
A visit to The Lecht is a great day out for all the family, with snowsports for all ages, sledging, chairlift rides and excellent facilities in the Day Lodge!
Please check before visiting The Lecht, as opening is weather-dependent, and winter sports are available in the winter season only. The ski centre is on the A939 road, Cockbridge to Tomintoul. You can view directions here.
