Great Household names

And a choice of super eateries and coffee shops

Shops and eateries

There are household names aplenty at the Eastgate centre, such as Boots, Next, Superdry, Waterstones, and Pandora. And also some independent Scottish companies like Jay Jay Kids and Thistle Gem. For food and drink, there are coffee shops and fast food outlets including Costa Coffee and Burger King, along with sit-down restaurants like Pizza Express and The Filling Station. So you can grab a quick bite or enjoy a more leisurely meal. In addition, you’ll find a wide range of services based here, including banks, bureau de change, car hire and car valeting. Free Wi-Fi is available for all customers too.

Noah's Ark Clock

Don’t miss the famous Noah’s Ark Clock during your visit to the Eastgate Shopping Centre! This animal-themed automation clock was installed in 1983, when the centre was originally built. Every hour on the hour, a monkey figure climbs a tree and chimes the bell. The clock then plays a children’s song like Baa Baa Black Sheep or The Ugly Duckling, and more animal figures move to the music. And at 12 noon there is a special extended display, where extra songs are played. This is a must if you’re shopping with the wee ones.
