Food and Drink

Depending on what time of day you visit you can choose from a tasty breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea menu. Additionally, there is a sample menu you can choose from on an old fashioned rollover school blackboard. A full Scottish breakfast can set you up for the day or a Crofter’s lunch will fuel you up midday ready for the second run. Then there is the baking! Delicious home baking all freshly made on the day! And so much choice. The only problem will be leaving enough room to sample all the delights. And if you opt for afternoon tea it will be the home baking you get to enjoy!

The Farmshop at Camerons Tearoom

And of course, then there is the farm shop. Being situated on Morag and her husband Ali’s farm, Glenlia Farm, it would not be complete without a farm shop. Here you can buy fresh seasonal produce as well as local crafts, cards and gifts. Additionally, local artists exhibit their work which adorns the walls. All are for sale should you wish to purchase a nice memoir on your visit. Chilled cabinets offer tasty chilled goods and there is a lovely range of preserves and dried goods. So whatever you fancy, be it a keepsake or some delicious food you can take something home with you.

Highland Cows and other four-legged creatures

Another lovely addition to Cameron’s Tearoom is the Highland Cows. They breed Highland Cattle on the Farm so there is plenty to see. Depending on the time of year you visit you may even see some of their calves! Additionally, there are two Shetland ponies, Rummy and Oden who are the best of friends. And if you are lucky, you may also spot some deer!

So if you are looking for farm shops near Inverness where you can enjoy some great food and drink then head to Camerons Tearoom near Foyers. You will not be disappointed. Furthermore, they offer accommodation too should you wish to stay. Then you can taste all their cakes!
